Linking to XBox360 Controller
Hello again,

Just curious if I would need to code an interface if I wanted to map the emotiv controls (NeuroKey or something?) to the Xbox360 controller to play games>? Or is this naturally possible with the existing tools?

Thank you! smile8)
*bump* smile:cry:
Hi Igor,
We don't have a driver system for the USB receiver in XBox at the moment, and the detections are not set up for the XBox environmnet either. It may be possible, but we haven't looked at it yet. In other words, you can't run the EPOC through your XBox yet.
I guess you are asking if EmoKey can emulate an XBox controller? The answer is, not directly unless you know what you're doing. However there is a third-party app (GlovePie from Carl Kenner) which supports the EPOC and emulates all kinds of controllers. Search the forum for references to GlovePie. It's pretty awesome!
Download from here <http://glovepie.org/glovepie_download.php>
Thanks for the info!

I will play around with this. I am also buying a VR unit and looks like all these gadgets can integrate well.

I think it should be of paramount importance to get the Epoc working well on the XBox. According to Wiki 39 million XBoxes have been sold so far. A 10% market share of all XBox users having an Epoc is just what Emotiv and the Emovoted developers need. smile:)
I have to agree, and not just Xbox, but PS as well. Although Xbox would be easier cause they're much more open with source code for it than Sony.

I used to be a mad gamer on PCs... until I got a 360! smile:) Now I am gunna get a PS3 as well because the quality of games is just amazing...

But then of course Civ5 is coming out on PC and that trumps any other game on the planet! smile:D
What we need for Xbox and other console is dry sensors before anything. A gamer won't start using this headset if it remains with saline solution, I know I'm a gamer smile:)

(I know dry sensor is on the work).

Yah, you got it wrong since the first time, it sound like you were saying ppl developping your software and hardware has no talent.. lol
Nope, only the humble technical lead at Emotiv smile;) Our developers are brilliant. Hopefully you guys will cover my mistakes for me smile:)
That lead goes to a very bright and illuminating light with an occasional loose connection. That is why I keep tightening the screws. smile:D
